In recent times, the field of interior design has undergone significant changes with the integration of artificial intelligence (AI). The elective course “AI-Based Design Strategies” aims to explore the new possibilities of AI in design and demonstrate how AI can support and enhance the process of interior space creation.

By delving deeply into and connecting various AI tools, students will not only gain a comprehensive understanding of the technical aspects of integrating AI in interior design but also acquire skills to creatively, autonomously, and effectively utilize these new tools.

The lecture aims to introduce students to state-of-the- art AI tools and highlight their impact on workflows in interior design. Through practical exercises and a specially developed iterative workflow, participants will understand, through a concrete project example, the importance of integrating such strategies from initial ideation to a holistic interior design proposal.
